Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
RigMatch is made by CORTEXLUMORA PRIVATE LIMITED ("Cortex Lumora", "we"). This policy explains what the RigMatch app and this website collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address and name, or the details Apple shares when you use Sign in with Apple, plus an account id. Used to sign you in and keep your data across devices.
- Your rig. The guitars, basses, amps and pedals you add, your presets and your active setup. Used to build tones for your gear.
- Matches and tones. The songs and parts you match, the results, and the tones you save or like. Used to show your history and count free matches.
- Onboarding answers. The songs and gear you pick during setup, used to build your first tone and your rig.
- Purchases. Whether you have RigMatch Pro and its renewal status. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Basic technical data. Our servers log requests (time, route, status, IP address) to keep the service running and secure. Logs are kept for a limited time.
We don't access your microphone, contacts, photos or precise location.
Who processes it for us
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- RevenueCat and Apple: subscriptions and purchase status.
- OpenAI: generates tone matches. We send the song, the part, and your gear list; we don't send your name or email. Under OpenAI's API terms this data isn't used to train their models.
- Apple (iTunes Search): song search. What you type in the song search is sent to Apple to find songs.
- Railway (servers and database) and Cloudflare (this website): hosting.
These providers only process data to provide their service to us. Some are located outside your country, including in the United States.
Notifications
If you start a free trial and allow notifications, the app schedules a reminder on your device before the trial ends. It's scheduled locally and you can turn it off in Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, rig, matches and saved tones from our database. Research we cache about songs (not about you) may be kept to make future matches faster.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account any time in the app: Profile → Delete account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing [email protected].
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or India's DPDP Act), you may have further rights, including to object to processing or complain to a regulator. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
RigMatch isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
